The Duolingo English Test is adaptive, online and quick, about an hour from home, which makes it wonderfully convenient and a little strange, so practising with its actual question types really matters. It gives an overall score from 10 to 160 plus four subscores, Literacy, Comprehension, Conversation and Production, and the difficulty adjusts to your answers in real time. I prepare you for the format and the tasks that keep coming back, so the speed stops being a shock. For many students it is the easiest, most affordable route to a score universities accept.
Lessons run on a fixed weekly slot or get booked flexibly around your week, one to one or in a small group, always online. Pick the length that fits the session.
Your Duolingo mocks recreate the adaptive feel and every repeating task type, so the format is familiar before you ever sit it, and we rehearse the writing and speaking samples to a confident standard. The Kahoots and Quizlets drill the quick-recall vocabulary and grammar the adaptive section rewards, and the PDFs break down each task with model answers. Everything is organised by task type and by subscore.
After every session I write down where you are, your band or score per skill and the one thing to fix next, so you are never guessing about your progress. Between lessons you can message me on WhatsApp, a quick question, a sentence you are stuck on, your homework, so nothing has to wait a whole week.
